Happy New Year!

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a good day so far.  It has just started snowing here, like crazy.  I hope that doesn't prevent people from going out tonight for New Year's Eve.  I shall be staying home nice and cozy, having a steak dinner we will make ourselves.

I have made one final card for 2016.  I combined the older Pure Innocence - Cause For Celebration stamp set with the brand new Lisa Johnson Designs - Star Above stamp set, both from MFT Stamps to make this card.

I stamped the background panel with various sizes of star from the Stars Above stamp et and coloured some section with Copic Markers.  The little girl was stamped onto a Stitched Oval die cut and out of her was also coloured with Copic Markers, expect for the main part of her dress, which I paper pieced.

Woofing You A Happy Birthday

Hello my friends, I hope your having a good day today.  I can't believe that it's New Year's Eve tomorrow, the year just seems to have flown by.

I am trying to get in the groove to make some cards but for some reason it's taking just a little extra effort.  I have lots of things to play with but for some reason I'm more into watching other people make this on YouTube then make something myself.

The following card, which is pretty simple, took me a couple of days from stamping, to die cutting and colouring, I just had to make myself get it together.

I used the Blueprints 27 die-namics from MFT Stamps to make the main elements of my card. The blue background on the windows were all coloured with a B000 Copic marker.

Cookies - Three Ways

Hello my friends, I hope you had a good Christmas, it was very quiet here, with only me and the man and we ended up not even having Turkey for dinner.

It's time to actually make some cards that are not for Christmas so I used the Cookie Crumbs stamp set and You're The Milk To My Cookie die-namics from MFT Stamps.

I made up a bunch of cookies and then made three different cards.  The first two have the same layout and the third was inspired by a card made by Jody Morrow-Confessions Of A Ribbon Addict.

I think you could make some very cute Valentine's Day cards with these sets.

Morning Coffee

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a good day so far.

I made a card today using the Beast Friends stamp set from MFT Stamps.  I stamped the scarf and cup on a separate piece of card stock, coloured them with Copic markers and fussy cut them out to add to the Yeti.

I typed up my own sentiment, printed it on card stock and cut it out using a banner die from the Blueprints 20 from MFT Stamps.

Unicorn Card Two Ways

Hello my friends and hopefully welcome back.  Today I made two very similar cards using the Winter Unicorn stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  By changing the colours and the sentiment I was able to make a Christmas card and an anytime/love card.  I think if I did this in pink and red it would be perfect for Valentine's Day as well.

Rare Friends

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a good day so far.

In between loads of laundry, I was able to make this card using the Beast Friends stamp set from MFT Stamps.  After the Yeti image was stamped, cut out and coloured I decided to add the scarf. I stamped the scarf on a separate piece of paper, coloured it and then fussy cut it out and glued it to the yeti, where it fit perfectly.

The mountains where made using the Snow-Capped Mountains die-namics from MFT Stamps and I think I managed to capture in the third photos the clear Wink of Stella I added to the snow caps.

Today I made a card using the Reindeer Games stamp set from Mama Elephant.  This stamp set came out last year but I only bought it recently.  The reindeer in this set are so adorable.

The sentiment comes from the Jolly and Merry stamp set also from Mama Elephant, which I selectively choose and inked to make the sentiment.

Dachshund Through The Snow

Hello again my friends, I'm so glad you had a chance to drop by.

Here is the second card I made using the Happy Howlidays stamp and die set from Lawn fawn.  I combined that stamp set with the bigger snowman and scarf from the older Making Frosty Friends stamp set, also from Lawn fawn.   I love the addition of the dog's footprints and the dash that make the dog's tail look like it's wagging, they add such cute detail.  I stamped the dog's footprints with Memento - London Fog ink and coloured them in with the BG10 Copic markers so they were not too pronounced.

Here Comes Santa Paws

Hello my friends and Happy Saturday!  We had quite a bit of snow yesterday and we took the dog for a walk and shovelled the sidewalks before it turned to rain.  I have a black labrador Bailey, and he just loves the snow.

I have been trying to get to my Christmas stamp sets that I have not touched yet and I finally used the Simon Says Stamp exclusive Lawn Fawn Happy Howlidays stamp set and matching dies to make a couple of cards.

Ice Skater Girl - MFTWSC309

Good morning my friends, I hope you are keep safe and warm today.  The snow is currently coming down like crazy, so I'm hoping to stay inside this afternoon.

Today I made a card using the current sketch from MFT Card Challenges and the Pure Innocence - Ice Skater stamp set from MFT Stamps.

I coloured the little girl with Copic markers, except for her sweater which I paper pieced with My Mind's Eye - Mistletoe Magic 6x6 paper pad.  I think she is just adorable.

I used several different paper from the paper pad for the background as well as some card stock.
