Emma - 8x8 Mini Album

Hello my friends, today I am back to share a mini album I created for some friends that just had a baby girl, whom they named Emma.

Because my friends are not crafty people, I wanted to create an album that they could just add some 4x6 photos to complete it.  When I saw this YouTube video for a basic 8x8 mini album tutorial from Paul Ford, I thought I would follow along.

The main thing I did differently is I covered the chipboard album cover with some card stock and some Tyvek at the spine to strengthen the seams. Since I used white card stock to create the page bases, I used some pink card stock as my photo mats.

The design paper kit I used  is an older one from Echo Park called Sweet Girl by Lori Whitlock. I think this is the first time I didn't decorate the pages but just left the design paper do the work.

I hope you like it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by.  I hope you check out Paul's tutorial and give it a try.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Design Paper: Echo Park - Sweet Girl 12x12 Collection Kit
Graffix: Medium Weight Chipboard
American Crafts: 12 x 12 Textured 80lb Card Stock
Recollections: Pink 65lb Card Stock
Ranger: Star Dust Stickles & Glossy Accents
Nuvo: Deluxe Adhesive
Scrappy Tape: 1/4 inch wide
MFT Stamps: Stitched Blooms, Fishtail Banners and High-Rise Alpha Upper Case Die-namics

Buddys

Hello again, I am back today to share another card I created using the Milk and Biscuits digital stamp from LotvDigiShop.

I loved the first card I created using this stamp, I just had to print it out again made another card.

I printed the image on Neenah 80lb solar white card stock and cut it out using Labels One dies from Spellbinders and used the Scalloped Label One, also from Spellbinders to cut out some navy card stock to layer behind the coloured image.

For all the design paper pads I have , I have discovered that most of them are very girly prints, so it's a challenge to find something to go with a boy image.  For this card I used the Happy Camper 6x6 paper pad from Echo Park.

I hope you are having a good day and staying safe.

Thanks so much for dropping by, Kathy

Decisions, Decisions

Hello and long time no hear.

Today I'm back to share a card I created using a digital stamp that I bought from LOTV Digi Shop.  The image is called Emma Shoes and she is just adorable.

I one thing I have to get to used to to using digital stamps is sizing.  I printed her a little big bigger then I thought so I ended up creating a 5 1/2" square card and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

I did actually colour the image first and then I searched through my 6x6 paper pads to find some design paper that would go well with the coloured image. The paper pad I found was called Fifth Avenue from Melissa Frances which had the perfect colours and romantic feel that I though would go perfect with the image.

I also dyed some white seam binding with Cotton Candy spray from Lindys' Stamp Gang to match better with the paper and colouring.

It was fun to break out some of my older supplies, including supplies to create a stick pin that would go with the feel of the card.

Here are a few pictures of my card.

Thank you so much for dropping by and I hope you enjoy my card.

Have a great day! Kathy

Cheers

Surprise, I'm actually back to share a card I have created for a friends 50th birthday party last night.

I took quite a long hiatus from really any kind of crafting, ever since I start a new full time job at the end of June.  I'm loving the job but the motivation to craft totally flew out the window.

My friends birthday  gave me at least a little bit of motivation to create a card, although as you can see from the picture, I still haven't gone back to colouring with my Copics.

I recently bought some new stamp sets from MFT Stamps, so I hoping I can get back into colouring too.

Here are a couple of pictures of the card I created using posting products from MFT Stamps.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Pure Innocence-Birthday Cuties, Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz - Shabby French (words on wine bottle label)
Dies: MFT Stamps - Wine Service, Cheers, Blueprints 13 (Panel & Stars)
Ink: Versafine - Onyx Black

Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by and I hope you have a great day!

I hope to be back soon with another creation, Kathy
