Dance & Twirl

Hello my friends, I hope you are doing well.  Today I am here to share with you a card that I created using the Pure Innocence - Tu-tu Sweet  stamp set from MFT Stamps.

I coloured her with Copic markers yesterday and the used her today to create a birthday card.

After looking on Pinterest for some ideas, I pulled out the retired Take The Stage die-namics from MFT Stamps to showcase the dancing girl.  I purchased this die set used, so although it is retired, it is the first time I am using it.  There is a new version of this die set, which is also called Take The Stage and is almost the same as the version I used.  I also created a spotlight for the girl by using the In The Spotlight stencil which is also from MFT Stamps and Unicorn pigment ink from Hero Arts.

I popped up the curtains and the girl with foam tape, while the remaining parts of the card where glued flush with the card front.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Pure Innocence - Tu-tu Sweet
Dies: MFT Stamps - Take The Stage and Blueprints 27
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black, Hero Arts - Unicorn pigment ink
Copic Markers: Skin - E00, E11, E13, R20  Hair - E21, E25, E27  Dress & Shoes - R81, R83, R85, RV52, RV55, RV63
Other: Recollections - 110lb White & Teal card stocks and 65lb Brown card stock,  Spectrum Noir - 100lb Ultra Smooth Premium White card stock and Crystal Clear Sparkle Brush pen,  MFT Stamps - In The Spotlight stencil,  Sakura - White Gel pen,  Foam Tape

Thank you so much for dropping by and I hope you have a wonderful day! Kathy

I'm Here For You - MFTWSC424

Hello my friends and happy Friday!  I am here to share a card I created for the sketch challenge at MFT Card Challenges.

I had a look through my stamp sets and decided to use one of the cute girls from the Birdie Brown - Rain or Shine stamp set from MFT Stamps.  I coloured her, a couple of clouds and the sun with Copic markers.

The top 2/3  of the card front was inked up with some Broken China Distress Oxide ink, which I then splattered with some water and blotted the excess to create some texture to the sky.  The sidewalk was created using some grey card stock and some creative use of a couple of dies that came in the Blueprints 13 die-namics, also from MFT Stamps.  I cut a bit of grass using green card stock and the Grassy Edges die-namics and tucked that behind the sidewalk.  I left a bottom strip of white card stock on the card front so I could stamp a sentiment.  I glued everything flat against the card front except the girl which I popped up with some foam tape.

I like how bright and fun my card turned out and I hope you like it too.

Below is a full list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown - Rain or Shine

Dam I Love You

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today I am back to share the card I created for my hubby.  I used the adorable Beavers Eh stamp set from Neat and Tangled.

This is also my colouring for Day 14 of The Daily Marker 30 Challenge.

I thought that because the images were beavers, I would use some wood look design paper as the background.  I think the finished card turned out adorable and just masculine enough to give to a man.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Neat and Tangled - Beavers Eh
Dies: Hero Arts - Nesting Rectangles Infinity Dies,  MFT Stamps - Slanted Sentiment Strips,  Sizzix - Hearts Framelits
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black
Copic Markers: E51, E53, E55, E57, E59, R22, R24, R27, R39, W1, W3
Other: Recollections - 110lb White and Grey card stocks and 65lb Red card stock,  Spectrum Noir - 100lb Ultra Smooth Premium White card stock,  My Mind's Eye - Miss Caroline (Dilly Dally) and Love Me 6x6 paper pads,  Sakura - White Gel Pen,  Foam Tape

I hope you have a wonderful day and know that someone loves you, not just today but every day.

Friends and Laughter

Hello again, I am back to share some more colouring and another card that I created using the Live Laugh Love stamp set from Art Impressions.  This time I used the larger image of three friends having a laugh.

When I went to create my card I decide that the coloured panel was too large so I used a smaller rectangle die to cut a smaller panel.  I cut a few panels of design paper and matted all three panels with some brown card stock.  For the finishing touch I added a couple of drops of Duck Egg Blue  Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Art Impressions - Live Laugh Love
Dies: Hero Arts - Nesting Rectangle Infinity Dies
Ink: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black
Copic Markers: See Picture Above
Other: Recollections - 110lb White card stock and 65lb Brown card stock,  My Mind's Eye - Miss Caroline (Dilly Dolly) 6x6 paper pad,  Nuvo Drops - Duck Egg Blue

Thank you so much for dropping by and I hope you have a wonderful day! Kathy

Sweet Friend

Hello my friends and happy Saturday!

I'm one sure if you are aware that Kathy Racoosin of The Daily Marker is hosting another 30 day colouring challenge, where she encourages everyone to try to do a bit of colouring every day for the month of February.  Everyone is welcome to join in and share their progress on her blog or on Instagram using the hashtag #thedailymarker30day .  Please know that you certainly don't have to join in every day just as much as your schedule/life allows.

For Day 1:  I coloured up the girl from the Doodle Garden - Sweet Friend stamp set from MFT Stamps with Copic markers.

I was going to use her on a card but when I picked out the papers I was going to use the pink really didn't match.

For Day 2:  I coloured her again using a different set of pink markers, everything else stayed the same. The first one was coloured with R20, R21, R22 and the second one was coloured using R81, R83, R85.

I then created this card using the Fourteen 6x6 paper pad from Crate Paper.  I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

Below is a list of the supplies I used for my card.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Doodle Garden-Sweet Friends
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13,  Tag Builder Blueprints 3 and Stitched Scallop Edges,  Spellbinders - Classic Ovals Large and Classic Ovals Small
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black
Copic Markers:  Skin-E00, E11, E13, R20  Hair - E21, E25, E27  Pink - R81, R83, R85  Red - R24, R27, R29  Shoes - C5, C7, C9
Other: Recollections - 110lb White card stock and 65lb Red card stock,  Spectrum Noir - 100lb Ultra Smooth Premium White card stock,  Crate Paper - Fourteen 6x6 paper pad,  Sakura - White Gel Pen and Foam Tape
