You Turn Me On

I can't believe it's half way through the week already. Today it's pretty ugly and rainy out but it's nice to see some bulbs bursting through the ground, so there is definitely signs that spring is coming very soon.

I finally broke out the Lawn Fawn - Turn Me On mini stamp set that I have had for a few weeks. I was very much inspired by a card that Nichol Magourik made way back on December 7, 2015 with the same set.

Here are a couple of pictures of my card.

I actually used every stamp in the little set, except for the exclamation point.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Altered Valentine Shadow Box

Good morning! I hope your having a good day.  Over the weekend I altered a 5 x 7 shadow box that given to me and I decided to alter it to add to my mantle as some Valentine decor.

Here is a picture of the shadow box before I did anything to it.

I removed the glass from the frame as well as the back of course, gave the frame a bit of a sand with fine grit sandpaper and then spray painted it with Heirloom White Rustoleum paint that I picked up from Home Depot.

I was inspired by different collages on Pinterest to make a cute 3d design to put into the frame. The six square are just over 2 inches each. I used lots of dies from MFT Stamps, Recollections card stock and K&Company - Lovely 12 x 12 paper pad. I edged all of the layers and elements with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Here is the finished collage.

Here is the finished frame. The great thing is the collage is attached with velcro to the back of the frame so I can make different designs for different holidays. I am going to add this to my mantle as some Valentine decor.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Dies & Punches: MFT Stamps - Mini Rolled Roses, Royal Leaves, Prima Donna Petals, Mini Pennant and Gerbera Daisy,  Marvy Uchida - Scalloped Square 2inch punch,  EK Success - Butterfly Layering Punch

Get Cozy - The Card Concept #46

Happy Friday! I was looking at the inspiration photo from The Card Concept and then looking through my supplies and found an older stamp set from MFT Stamps that I thought was perfect for this challenge.

Here is the inspiration photo.

I decided to keep with the colours of the picture as well as the theme for my card and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I used a little snowflake stamp from the Cool Day stamp set also by MFT Stamps on the back of the gloves to look more like the inspiration photo. I also coloured the gloves and scarf with E31 and then softened quite a bit with the colourless blender to make them look more of a creamy white.

Here are a couple of picture of my completed card.
