To The Beach & Back

Hello my friends and welcome back.  Today I am sharing a card I created using the Pure Inncence - Beach Cutie stamp set from MFT Stamps.

I coloured the girl with soft Copic marker colours and paper pieced the main part of her top using some design paper from the In Bloom 6x6 paper pad from My Mind's Eye.

For a change I didn't create a scene card but used more of the co-ordinating design paper and card stock layers for the layout for my card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used for this card.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Pure Innocence-Beach Cutie
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 27 (Sentiment Banner), Stitched Circle Stax and Stitched Mini Scallop Circle Stax
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black
Copic Markers: Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20  Pink - R20, R21, R32  Yellow - Y11, Y23  Shadow on Top - C00, C1
Other: Recollections - 110lb White, Pink and Gray card stocks,  Spectrum Noir - 100lb Ultra Smooth Premium White card stock,  My Mind's Eye - In Bloom 6x6 paper pad,  Foam Tape

Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by and I hope you have a wonderful day! Kathy

Hello my friends, I am back today to share a card I created for the current sketch challenge at MFT Card Challenges.

I decided to colour up the cute soldiers that come in the Happy Hello stamp set, which was a free with $60 exclusive set from MFT Stamps.

After I coloured them I decided to make a card using the current sketch as shown above. Although the sentiment covers it, there are two squares on the card which I cut out using the Stitched Square Stax from MFT Stamps.  The Big Ben image is from the older London Mouse stamp set, also from MFT Stamps.

Fabulous 4th!

Hello my friends and happy Friday!

Even though I am Canadian, I live pretty close to the border, so today I am sharing a card I created for the Fourth of July.  The little girl is from the Pure Innocence - Firecracker Girl stamp set from MFT Stamps.  I coloured her with Copic markers and paper pieced her dress.

I originally was going to use more patterned paper and layers for her background and then I came up with the idea of making an American flag background using a couple of dies and card stock.  Although it does not have the correct amount of stars, I think it gives the right idea and I'm happy with how it turned out.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Pure Innocence-Firecracker Girl
Dies: MFT Stamps - Stitched Square Stax and Star Border
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black
Copic Markers: Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20  Hair - E21, E25, E27  White - C00, C1  Shoes & Star - B23, B26, B28
Other: Recollections - 110lb White card stock and 65lb Red and Blue card stocks,  Spectrum Noir - 100lb Ultra Smooth Premium White card stock,  Pebbles - Americana 6x6 paper pad, Sakura - Black Glaze Pen and Stardust Gel Roll Pen,  Foam Tape,  Red Adhesive Gem

At The Beach - MFTWSC389

Hello my friends and welcome back.  Today I am sharing a card I created for the current sketch challenge at MFT Card Challenges.

For my card I flipped the sketch 90 degrees to the right and used the palm tree as the bottom strip and the girl as the rectangle.

Fun In The Sun

I am back again to share a card I created using a Pure Innocence stamp set from MFT Stamps.  This time I used the Fun In The Sun set, which I coloured with Copic markers.  I gave the girl a rainbow water lounge and gave her darker skin and curly hair to change up my regular Caucasian colouring.

The background, which I love, was created using three different blue Distress Inks and the new Make Waves Stencil from MFT Stamps.

To create the background I first blended the 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" white card stock panel with the three distress inks going from light to dark. Once the panel was well blended, I stayed it with some water and then blotted up the excess water with a paper towel,  I then used the Make Waves stencil and blended some more of the matching distress ink on each of three sections.  the waves are quite subtle but I really love how it turned out.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Pure Innocence-Fun In The Sun
Dies: MFT Stamps - Slanted Sentiment Strips
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black,  Distress Inks - Broken China, Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon

Hold Your Head High

Hello my friends, toady I am here sharing a card I created by combining a bunch of old and products from MFT Stamps.

I thought it would be cute to combine the Pure Innocence - Giraffe Girl, holding a stuffed giraffe, with some actual giraffes from the Giraffing Me Crazy stamp set.  I was as thinking that the little girl had gone to the zoo to see the real giraffes.

Joy Ride - The Card Concept #94 (Inspiration on Wheels)

Hello my friends, I am back today to share a card I created for challenge #94 at The Card Concept.

The My Mind's Eye - On The Sunny Side 6x6 paper pad, which I found in my stash, was the perfect design paper with it's bicycles and banners which I also incorporated into the banner die cut.

Spa Day - CFC437

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a good day so far.

Today I am here to share a card I created for the current challenge of "barefoot" at Crazy 4 Challenges.

I looked through my stash and decided to use an older stamp set, that I don't think I have ever used before.  It is called WTG-Girls Day In from MFT Stamps. It's such a cute stamp set, I can't believe I have never used it before.

I stamped one of the main images and used a rectangle die to cut out the stamped image.  I then coloured it with my Copic markers and popped it up on the card front with foam tape.  I also stamped a couple of nail polish bottles, coloured then and fussy cut them out to add a cute accent to the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - WTG-Girls Day In
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 20 & 27,  Hero Arts - Nesting Rectangle Dies

Treat Yourself

Hello my friends and welcome back.  Today I am sharing a card I created that combines my Day One and Day Two colouring for The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge.  Kathy Racoosin has been doing a great job with this challenge, encouraging everyone to colour just a little bit each day for 30 days and this is the 10th challenge.

For Day One, I coloured up this cute little girl from the Say Yes to Donuts stamp set from Neat and Tangled.

For Day Two, I created my own background paper/panel for the above cutie using the Donut Worry stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  I added a sentiment below the little girl and popped her square panel with foam tape to create my finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Neat and Tangled - Say Yes to Donuts,  Lawn Fawn - Donut Worry
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13 and Stitched Square Stax
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black
