Road's Travelled

Here is a different card for me, I made a more masculine card this time, which is not my strong suit. I do like how it turned out and hope you like it too.

For this card I used a Tim Holtz bicycle cling stamp from the Purely Random CMS088 set. I stamped it three times without re-inking using Hero Art's Cup O'Joe.

The design paper is from 2011, My Mind's Eye-Lost & Found Two-Sunshine 6x6 paper pad.

Now on to watching The Following.

Sweet Wonderful Girl

Here is a cute card I made today using the Hero Arts stamp set Sweet Wonderful You.

I coloured the image with Copic markers. I used the following dies: Spellbinders-Classic Oval Large & Floral Ovals. The Hearts were die cut with the Lawn Fawn's Summertime Charm lawn cuts and covered with a clear Wink of Stella Brush Pen.

Stay tuned for another card. Kathy

Altered Letter D

So I have not been feeling very well the last two days. I have a lousy cold but I did feel good enough this afternoon to finish altering a letter D which I made for my sister Dianne.

I covered the chipboard letter with 12 x 12 design paper from the DCWV -The Vintage Flora stack. I then distressed the edges of the paper with Broken China Distress Ink.

Here is a close up of the paper flowers. The made from paper flowers using the Rolled Scallop Flower & Royal Rose Die-namics from My Favorite Things. I made the leaves using the Martha Stewart Crafts Punch Branch. I put half back pearls in the centre of the flowers.

Here is the final project after I added the seam binding hanger. The seam binding was white which I dyed with Lindy's Stamp Gang - Frosted Forget-Me-Nots starburst spray.

Hope you have a god night. Thanks for dropping by, Kathy

Altered Letter Z

I had a chance to alter another letter. This time it's for a little girl in the neighbourhood named Zoe.

Here is how it started.

And after I painted the sides and back with white acrylic paint.

For this letter I used another sheet of design paper from the Dear Jane 12 x 12 paper stack from DCWV and distressed the edges with Pumice Stone Distress Ink.

The made from paper flowers using the Rolled Scallop Flower & Royal Rose Die-namics from My Favorite Things. I made the leaves using the Martha Stewart Crafts Punch Branch. I put half back pearls in the centre of the flowers. I then dyed some white Hug Snug seam binding with Lindy's Stamp Gang Cotton Candy Pink Starburst Spray.

Here is a closeup of the flowers I made.

I think this will look cute in her room and because it doesn't look too young, so can last her for years.

I have a few more letter to do. I think the next one will be for my sister.

Have a great night, Kathy

Altered Letter K

Happy Sunday! Earlier this week I went to Michael's and found some thick chipboard letters for $0.50 Cdn which I thought would be cute altered. The letter is 8.5" tall by 7" wide.

I picked up two letter K's one for myself and one for a little girl in our cul-de-sac named Kennedy. I thought I would alter the letter and perhaps she could hang it in her room.

Here are some pictures of the project from start to finish.

The first picture shows the plain chipboard letter right out of the package.

This next picture is after i painted the sides and back with acrylic white paint and covered the front with paper from the Dear Jane 12 x 12 stack from DCWV and distressed the edges with Pumice Stone Distress Ink.

Here's a closeup of the flowers.

I hope you like it as much as I do.

Have a great evening, Kathy
