Welcome To Paradise

Hello friends, here is the second card I made using the Polynesian Paradise stamp set from MFT Stamps.

This time I made a sunset beach background on watercolour paper using distress inks and they blended much better.  I used the Hillside Borders dies from Lawn Fawn to make a mask for the sand and sky.

I was looking through my different stamp sets and found the plam tree in the Penguins in Paradise stamp set also from MFT Stamps.  I was also unsure if I wanted to add a sentiment on the card front and so far have decided against it.

Here are a couple of pictures of the card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Sunny Smiles

Hello friends, I hope your having a good weekend.  I made a couple of card using the Polynesian Paradise stamp set from MFT Stamps. I was inspired to break out the stamp set by Joy Taylor of Simple By Design Blog.

Here is my first card where I made a mask out of thin card stock and inked a circle with distress inks to make a sunset on my card front.  I found it quite hard to get a good blend.

I stamped a couple of images, coloured them with Copic markers and then cut them with my ScanNCut.  I popped both images on the card front with foam tape to add some dimension.

Here is a couple of pictures of the finished card.

Hello friends and happy friday! It's been a great crafty week in my house.  First I got a package of goodies from Simon Says Stamp and then I bought a Brother - ScanNCut on sale at my local London Drugs, so I have been playing with it and figuring it out.

I have had the Adorable Elephants stamp set from MFT Stamps for awhile but this is the first time I used it.  I stamped out a bunch of elephants, used the ScanNCut to cut them out them coloured them all up with Copics.

Ruff Day - MFTWSC275

Hello friends I hope you're having a good day.

I saw the sketch from MFT Card Challenges, and knew I wanted to use their Dog House die on a card. I also used their Birdie Brown - You Make My Tail Wag stamp set as well for the dog and the sentiment.  I must say both the die and the stamp set are so cute.

Here is a picture of this week's sketch:

Wrangled My Heart

Hello friends, I hope you're having a good day. It's a little bit cooler today but still nice enough to work in the garden.

I made what I think is a super cute card using a couple of older stamp sets from MFT Stamps which I coloured with Copics and paper pieced, which I haven't done in awhile and then fussy cut both of them out.  Originally I was going to make this for the "Western" theme for The Paper Players but by the time I actually made the card that particular challenge was over. I'm still glad that I made my card.

Summer Bouquet

Hello friends, I hope you are going well.  I'm lucky enough to live on the west coast of Canada where it was a lovely sunny day. It's so wonderful to see the trees getting their leaves and flowers in bloom.

With the garden on my mind, I decided to use the Bouquet For You stamp set from Stampendous to make this card. The jar and stems were stamped on the main panel and coloured with copic markers. I stamped the flowers and leaves separately, coloured them with copic markers and then fussy cut them out. When I adhered the flowers and leaves to the main panel I made sure not to adhere them flat as to give the bouquet and card some dimension.

Here are a couple of pictures of the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Stampendous - Bouquet For You
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13,  Mama Elephant - Peek A Frames

Tire Swing

Hello friends, I hope your having a good weekend. It was glorious weather the last few days so we were busy outside.

It took me two days to finish making this card.  I used the tree from the stamp set, extended the height a bit, and coloured it with Copic markers. and then used distress inks to make the sky and grass. I the used the Grassy Fields die and some card stock to make the top layer of grass. Of course I also stamped the main image and the tire swing stamp, used the matching dies and coloured then with Copic Markers.

Here is a picture of the main image after I coloured her.

And here is the background before I added the top layer of grass.

Once I added the card stock grass, I cut the panel using the largest die in the Blueprints 13. I then took forever to decide if I wanted the girl behind or in front of the grass and in the end decided behind. Once the panel was complete and added lots of foam tape and attached it to the A2 size card panel.

This is the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Let's Hang Out
Dies: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Let's Hang Out,  Grassy Fields and Blueprints 13
