With Enough Coffee Anything is Possible - Caffeinated Inspiration-Happy Spring

I'm back again to share another card.  This time I created a card for the Happy Spring inspiration from the Coffee Loving Cardmakers.

Here is the inspiration picture which I matched almost literally.

I combined the Coffee and Tea stamp set from Simon Says Stamp with the retired Beautiful Blooms stamps and dies from MFT Stamps to create the two main features on my card.

The table/tray was created using some woodgrain design paper and the napkin was created using some burlap paper which I took apart a little to create the fringe.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps:  Simon Says Stamp - Coffee and Tea,  MFT Stamps - Beautiful Blooms
Dies: MFT Stamps - Beautiful Blooms
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black,  Hero Arts - Lemon Yellow, Butter Bar,  Cup O'Joe,  Lime Green and Forever Green

Happy Easter - AAA CAS Game #136

Welcome back my friends, I am here to share a card I created for the current sketch at AAA Cards.  The challenge is to create a clean and simple card using one image and if you want to add the twist of Spring.

If you have seen my cards, clean and simple really isn't my forte but I decide to give it a go.

I used the cute girl from the Pure Innocence - I'm All Ears stamp set that I actually coloured in February during the Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge.  I did a bit of ink smooshing on the background panel with some Peacock Feather Distress Oxide ink.  I popped up the girl with foam tape and added a sentiment from the same stamp set.

I didn't think I would be back again this weekend, but I just couldn't stay away from creating something.

Today I am sharing a tag I created for the current Tag You're It Challenge.  The challenge was to create a tag with Polka Dots.

I stamped and cut out the girl from Pure Innocence - Beach Day stamp set from MFT Stamps.  i coloured most of her with Copic markers and paper pieced her bikini with some yellow polka dot design paper from Lawn Fawn.

I created the sea and beach by cutting some card stock with the main die from the Beach Scene Builder die-namics from MFT Stamps.  The clouds and sun rays were created using some Distress Inks and the Radiating Rays and Mini Cloud Edges stencils, also from MFT Stamps.  I finished off the tag by adding a sentiment and some yellow polka dot ribbon from American Crafts.

Happy Spring

Hello my friends and welcome to a brand new weekend!  I am back today to share a card I created using a bunch of products from Lawn Fawn.

Since I had the Easter Party stamp set and matching dies already out I decided to create another card, this time creating a garden to celebrate Spring. The little girl dressed as a flower is one of my favourite stamps that Lawn Fawn has ever come out with.

I added two green hillsides, with the top one popped up with foam tape to add some dimension, and I didn't glue the tops of any of the trees so they had some movement and added dimension as well.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn - Easter Party
Dies: Lawn  Fawn - Easter Party,  Stitched Hillside Borders,  Stitched Tree Borders  MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13,  Memory Box - Puffy Clouds
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black
Copic Markers: Light Skin - E00, E11, E13, R20  Dark Skin - E23, E25, E27, R22  Light Hair - E21, E23, E25  Dark Hair - C5, C9  Green - YG03, YG21, YG25  Yellow - Y02, Y13, Y17  Aqua - BG10, BG13  Coral - R02, R05, R08  Purple - V12, V15, V17

Easter Chicks

Hello my friends and happy Friday!  Today I am back to share an Easter card that I created by combining a couple of different stamp sets from Lawn Fawn.

I thought it would be cute if the real chicks followed what they thought was their mother, who was dropping jelly beans from her basket while she walked.  I couldn't come up with a clever sentiment myself so I used a sentiment that came in one of the stamp sets.

I think the final card turned out so cute.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn - Chirpy Chirp Chirp and Easter Party
Dies: Lawn Fawn - Chirpy Chirp Chirp and Easter Party,  MFT Stamps - Blueprints 20

Oceans of Love - SSC200

Hello my friends, I am back today to share a card I created for  the sketch challenge at  Sunday Stamps Challenge.  They are celebrating their 200th challenge and I wanted to join in.

For my left side panel, I created an ombre wave pattern using four different shades of blue Distress Inks and the Make Waves stencil from MFT Stamps.

I popped up the panel with foam tape and added a Mermaid from the Mermazing stamp set, also from MFT Stamps, to the waves. I finished off the card by adding a sentiment that I stamped onto a flagged banner and partly popped up on foam tape so that it was the same level as the ocean panel.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Mermazing
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 20
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon

Sweet As Spring - Tag You're It #82

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a great weekend.  I am back today to share a tag I created for the current challenge at Tag You're It Challenge.

Here is the inspiration tag.

I could not find any St. Patrick' Day stamps in my stash but I thought I would use the colours as the inspiration for my tag.

I smooshed some Lucky Clover Distress ink mixed with water onto my white card stock tag.  I then sprayed the tag with some Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist to add some shine and interest.  The little girl with from the Pure Innocence - Feline Better stamp set and the sentiment is from the Pure Innocence - Out On A Limb stamp set, both from MFT Stamps.  I coloured most of the girl with Copic markers but paper pieced her dress.  I wanted to make her "Irish" by colouring her hair red and adding a few freckles.  I popped up the girl and the sentiment banner onto the front of the tag with foam tape and added some green embroidery thread in the whole of the tag.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps -  Pure Innocence - Feline Better and Out On A Limb
Dies: Sizzix/Tim Holtz - Tag & Bookplates Bigz Die,  MFT Stamps - Feline Better and Blueprints 20
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Hero Arts - Orange Soda,  Distress Ink - Lucky Clover
Other: Recollections - 110lb White card stock and 65lb Green card stock,  Tattere Angels - Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist,  My Mind's Eye - Stella and Rose-Mabel 6x6 paper pad,  Foam Tape, Green Embroidery Thread

Thank you so much for dropping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day, Kathy

Have A Blast - MFTWSC427

Hello and welcome back my friends.  I am here today to share a card I created for the current sketch challenge at MFT Card Challenges.

Instead of a balloon, I decided to create a galaxy using the Starry Circle  die from MFT Stamps.  I first cut some 110lb white card stock with the die and then kept on smooshing it into distress inks mixed with water until I was happy.  Then I took a die from the Stitched Circle Stax, also from MFT Stamps, and cut some silver glitter card stock from DCWV to back the galaxy and add some sparkle to the stars.

The little astronaut was coloured with Comic markers a week or two ago when I was participating in The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge.  I am pretty happy with how the finished card turned out.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Space Explorer
Dies: MFT Stamps - Starry CircleStitched Circle Stax and Blueprints 27
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black,  Distress Inks - Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, Wilted Violet and Black Soot
Other: Copic Markers, Recollections - 100lb White card stock,  Neenah - 80 lb Solar White Super Smooth card stock,   DCWV - 6x6 Neutrals Glitter Card stock pad,  Sakura - White Gel pen and Black Glaze pen,  Foam Tape

Glorious Day - Just Add Ink #446

Hello I am back today to share a card I created for the Just Add Ink inspiration challenge.  This week's inspiration picture is bright and beautiful.

For my card I broke out an embossing folder, which I had not used for a very long time, some Distress Inks and some floral dies.

The first thing I did was take some Distress Ink pads and smoosh them onto a craft sheet.  I sprayed the ink with water and then pounced some 110lb white card stock into the ink several times each in order to add colour and texture.

The largest piece of card stock was coloured with Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink and then cut with the largest die in the Blueprints 13 die-namics from MFT Stamps.  I then took that die cut panel and embossed it using the Circuit - Cuttlebug-Geometric Rings embossing folder.

I created the flowers by cutting the other three coloured card stocks with the Stitched Blooms die-namics, also from MFT Stamps.  I cut a stitched circle and stamped the sentiment from the Dot Flourisheds stamp set from Hero Arts and then glued the florals around the circle.  The last thing I did was to pop up the floral "wreath" onto the card front with Foam Tape.

I am so happy with how my card turned out and I hope you like it too.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Hero Arts - Dot Flourishes
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13, Stitched Circle Stax and Stitched Blooms
Inks: Distress Inks - Mermaid Lagoon, Mowed Lawn, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Yellow,  Versafine - Onyx Black
Other: Recollections - 110lb White card stock,  Cricut - Cuttlebug-Geometric Rings embossing folder

Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by and I hope you have a wonderful day! Kathy

Saddle Up & Celebrate

Hello my friends, I can't believe that's it's already March, even though we are crossing our fingers for some much warmer weather.

Today I am here to share a card I created using the Birdie Brown - Saddle Up & Celebrate stamp set from MFT Stamps.

I usually colour with Copic Markers but for a change I actually decided to do some watercoloring with my Tim Holtz Distress Markers on water-colour paper. For the larger background colour, I used some Distress Ink pads that I smash onto an acrylic block, which I used as a palette.

The finished watercolored scene is approximately 4 3/4" by 3 1/2".  I matted the scene with some black card stock.  The design paper in the background was also matted with black card stock and glued flat to the card base, with the watercolored scene popped up on foam tape to add some dimension to the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Saddle Up & Celebrate
Inks: Ranger - Jet Black Archival Ink,  Versafine - Onyx Black,  Distress Inks - Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Twisted Citron and Peeled Paint
Other: Strathmore - 140lb Cold Press Water-colour Paper,  Recollections - 110lb White card stock and 65lb Black card stock,  My Mind's Eye - On The Bright Side-Two 6x6 paper pad,  Distress Markers,  Foam Tape

Thank you so much for dropping by and I hope the rest of your day is great! Kathy
