Christmas Deer

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a good day so far.  I am currently in love with some of the newest Neat and Tangled stamp sets so I just had to make a couple of more cards.

For my first card, I combined the deer from the Into The Woods stamp set with the smaller deer from the Santa's Wonderland stamp set to make a soft and I think, very sweet card.  I used Shaded Lilac and Stormy Sky distress ink to make a soft coloured sky and used the Confetti stencil from Heidi Swapp with Light Modeling Paste to make the snow in the sky.

A Lot Like Christmas

Hello my friends and welcome to a new week.  We are finally having a decent day today, weather wise, after a very raining October and November.

Today I made a card using using the new Santa's Wonderland stamp set from Neat and Tangled.  It is such a cute set.

For the sky background I blended Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky distress ink, sprayed it with some water and then blotted up the drops.  I then decided to use the snow stamp from the set and some Unicorn ink from Hero Arts to make it look like snow falling but it didn't really show up.  So then I took a Stardust gel pen from Sakura and dotted it around the sky, which I think adds a nice bit of sparkle.

I'm really happy with the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Neat and Tangled - Santa's Wonderland
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13,  Lawn Fawn - Stitched Hillside Borders
Inks: MFT Stamps - Black Licorice Hybrid Ink,  Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky,  Hero Arts - Unicorn pigment ink

All I Want For Christmas

Hello my friends, I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  It's been a pretty miserable rainy one here but I'm hoping it will clear up in the next few days.  Yesterday was busy doing laundry, running around getting a new cell phone (I killed my old one by dropping it into water) and going to Costco.

Today I have a bit of time to get my craft on and so I made a card.  I used the Baaah Humbug stamp set from Lawn Fawn, which I bought last year but barely used.

I think this is the card I going to give the man for Christmas because it combines Christmas and love.

Below is a list of the supplies I used to make this card.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn - Baaah Humbug

Elfs On Their Shelves

Hello my friends, if you celebrate, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  It's been very hard but I have restrained myself a little bit and have only placed one crafty Black Friday order.  It's so hard with everyone having sales.

The other day I received my small order from Neat and Tangled which included the two new Christmas stamp sets, Elfs On Their Shelves and Santa's Wonderland.  The images were so cute I had to ink them up right away.  I coloured up all of the elf images with Copic markers first.

I ended up making two cards using these images plus a few more.

Hello again, I have been on a role making Christmas cards and I made another card using the Wooly Winter stamp set from mama Elephant.

Snow Place Like Home

Hello my friends and hopefully welcome back.  Today I made a card using the Snow Cool stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  I just love that they have a penguin snowman, it's just so cute.

I used the snowy background stamp that comes in the set, some versa mark ink and the White Puff embossing powder from Hero Arts to make the snowy sky.  I really like the texture that the embossing powder creates.

Here are a couple of pictures of my finished card.

I made another slightly different card and I thought I would add a picture of it as well.  This time I used Hero Arts - Unicorn pigment ink for the snowy sky.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Merry Everything

Hello my friends, I hope you are have a good weekend so far.

For me generally Saturdays are all about laundry but in between loads I did get a chance to make this card.

The "frame" was made by cutting some white card stock with the Lawn Fawn - Landscape Leafy Backdrop die.  I then use the tree end of the die to cut some brown card stock and then trimmed off the frame with scissors so just the tree remained.

I took the brown tree, dusted it with a powder tool and then edged some of the branches with a bottle of Embossing Edger from Personal Stamp Exchange that I have had in my stash forever.  (I orginally bought the bottle to reink an old embossing ink pad from the same company, which I actually still have and is actually still wet.) I then sprinkled the branches with Hero Arts - White Puff embossing powder and heat it with my heat tool.  I'm not sure it comes across in the pictures but it really has the texture of snow in real life.

The Santa and Reindeer come form the Merry Everything stamp set from MFT Stamps, which I coloured with Copic Markers.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Merry Everything
Dies: Lawn Fawn - Landscape Leafy Backdrop and Stitched Hillside Borders

Santa's Bringing Presents

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a good week.  I have been having do much fun with the Jingle All The Way stamp set from MFT Stamps, I just had to make another card.

I saw the Tim Holtz wind die and knew I wanted to make the view in the window be the inside of the house and Santa on the outside of the house.  I combined several different MFT Stamps stamp sets to make, what I think is a super cute card.

To make the brick facade , I used the Small Brick Wall stencil from MFT Stamps and three different colours of distress ink.  I was quite pleased with how it turned out.

I popped the window on foam tape to add some dimension and to make the scene inside look just a little bit in the distance.

Here are a few pictures of the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Jingle All The Way,  Santa's Elves (tree), Make Yourself At Home (chair and pictures)

You're A Deer

Here I am one more time today with another card.  This time I didn't use a Santa image but I did join together three reindeer with silver thread and popped them up on foam tape to make them fly through the sky.

I cut out a panel of white card stock with the largest die from the Blueprints 13 dies set and then cut some snowy hills with the Stitched Hillside Borders dies from Lawn Fawn.

The sky was made by inking it with Tumbled Glass & Salty Ocean distress inks, sprayed it with water and then blotted it with a paper towel.

I think this card turned out so cute.

below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Jingle All The Way

I inked up the top (sky) portion of the panel with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean distress inks, sprayed it with water and blotted with paper towels.  I then used the Confetti stencil from Heidi Swapp and some Light Modeling Paste to add some snow in the sky.

Here are a couple of pictures of the final card.
