Enjoy The Ride

I am back again, with another card that I made using the Bicycle Built For You stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

This time I also used the Leafy Tree Backdrop die, also from Lawn Fawn, and made a birthday.  I'm really loving this stamp set.

I popped up the girl and her bike with foam tape and also added some flowers, that I made using the 3 in 1 Hydrangea punch from Martha Stewart, to the tree.  This again added some more dimension to my finished card.

Wedding Day

Hello my friends and welcome back.  I am finally getting a chance to make a card.

A few days ago I received my newest order from Scrapbookpal.com, including goodies from Lawn Fawn and Sunny Studio Stamps.

For my first card, I used the Bicycle Built For You stamp set from Lawn Fawn and made a wedding card. (Not that I have anyone to give it to right at the moment.)

I regret not also ordering the Road Border die, also for Lawn Fawn but I ended up making my own version of a dirt road using the Stitched Hillside Borders dies from Lawn Fawn.

I stamped all of the images and cut them out using my Brother - ScanNCut machine.  It did not cut out the bicycle spikes, so I did that myself using the Precision Knife from Fiskars.

Here is the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn - Bicycle Built For You
Dies: Lawn Fawn - Stitched Hillside Borders and Puffy Cloud Borders (For Cloud Masks),   MFT Stamps - Trees In The Forest and Blueprints 13
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black,  Distress Inks - Tumbled Glass

Welcome Banner

Hello my friends, it's been quite a busy few days and I've had no time to do anything crafty until this afternoon.

I wanted to switch the candle lantern that I keep on my front porch from easter to Spring and wanted to make a new little banner to go across the lantern.

I cut each pennant piece out of design paper from the Dear Jane 12 x 12 paper pad from DCWV with a pennant die from LittleB.

I cut the letters three times each from some coral card stock and glued them together to make them more sturdy.  I also used the same coral card stock to make two scallop rolled flowers and some green card stock to make the leaves.  I used some double sided tape to string the pennants onto some natural hemp cord.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Dies: LittleB - Pennants,  MFT Stamps - By The Letters, Rolled Scallop Flower and Layered Leaves
Design Paper:  DCWV - The Dear Jane Stack 12 x 12
Other: Recollections - 65lb Coral and Green card stock,  Hemptique - 20lb Natural Hemp Cord

Thank you so much for dropping by and I hope to be back again soon.  Kathy

Aqua Beauty

Hello, I am back again with another card using the April 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit from Hero Arts.

This time I used a different dress, legs and arms stamps from the kit.  For the arms, I didn't ink up the top edge of the arm. The arm images are only about three quarters the length of regular arm length.  After I stamped the arms, I used a Copic Multiliner to draw the top part of the arm where it joins the shoulder.  I'm not totally happy with how the arms turned out.  Next time I will defiantly draw out the rest of the arm with a pencil first and then use the multilines for the finished arms.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Hero Arts - April 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit
Dies: MFT Stamps - Stitched Scallop Edges
Inks: Simon Sats Stamp - Intense Black
Copic Markers: Skin - E11, E33, R20  Hair - E21, E25  Dress & Shoes - BG10, BG11, BG13  Black Multiliner 0.03
Other: Recollections - 110lb White card stock and 65lb Aqua card stock,  My Mind's Eye - Kate & Co-Cambridge Court 6x6 paper pad,  Doodlebug - Swimming Pool Sequins

Thank you so much or taking the time to drop by.  I hope you like the card.  Kathy

You Are Wonderful

Hello my friends, I am back again with another card using the new April 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit from Hero Arts.

For this card, I stated with a hint card stock panel cut using the largest die in the Blueprints 13 die-namics from MFT Stamps.  I then stamped out the girl by piecing the four direct pieces together.  This time I used a different head so this girl has her hair down.

Once I coloured her with Copic markers, I cut out masks and covered her up.  I used a pice of green painters tape to make a horizon line and then inked up the cloudy sky using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and masks made from card stock and the Puffy Cloud Borders dies from Lawn Fawn.

Once the clouds were complete, I peeled off the tape and then covered the bottom of the clouds and then inked up the bottom of the panel using Mowed Lawn Distress Ink.  One I peeled up the painters tape, I sprayed the "grass" with water and blotted it with a paper towel to add some texture.  I then peeled off the masks to reveal the girl.

I stamped the Eiffel tower using another Hero Arts stamp set that I already had in my stash and which I thought would work perfectly.  I added a sentiment form the kit, bordered the white panel with black card stock and attached it to the card base and the card was complete.

I am so happy with the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Hero Arts - April 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit and Paris
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13,  Lawn Fawn - Puffy Cloud Borders

Classic Beauty

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a good day so far.  I recently received my order of the April 2017 My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts.

It 's such a cute kit but I must admit that once I received it, I wasn't;t quite sure how to go about using it.  Once I made this first card, I have got the fever and want to make many more.

For this card, I pieced together the girl by stamping each image one at a time.  I actually found it quite easy to line up each piece to form the girl.

I kept the card quite simple by adding some Copic colouring, adding a sentiment and finishing over with a few sequins.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Hero Arts - April 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit
Dies: Simon Says Stamp - Stitched Rectangles
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black

Thinking Of You - Fusion Card Challenge (Truck Bouquet)

Hello my friends, I am on a roll today and have made another card.

This time for the challenge at the Fusion Card Challenge.  I used their photo as my inspiration for my scene.

I tried to also use the sketch but couldn't't fugue out a good way to add the sentiment that would go with the sketch.

I actually used the Truck Tidings stamp and die Christmas set for my main truck image.  I stamped the truck on light gray card stock with black ink, cut it out using the matching die and added a bit of colour with a few Copic markers.

I inked the ground, sky and grass with distress inks and used the tree and leaves from the Leafy Backdrop-Landscape die from Lawn Fawn to add to the scene.  The flowers cascading out of the truck come from the Fresh Cut Florals stamp and die set from Wplus9.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Stampendous - Truck Tidings,  Wplus9 - Fresh Cut Florals
Dies: Stampendous - Truck Tidings,  Wplus9 - Fresh Cut Florals,  Lawn Fawn - Leafy Tree Backdrop-Landscape

For My Friend - CTD438

Hello again and welcome back.  I actually ended up making another card for the Color Throwdown using the Friendship Blooms stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamp.  I also used a couple of different Edge dies from MFT Stamps, which I am loving right now.

For this card I glued down the die cut images except the main daffodil flower which I popped up with foam tape.  I also added a few sequins from the Pink Lemonade sequin mix from Neat and Tangled and a few drops of the Nuvo - Morning Dew Crystal Drops.

Below is a list of the supplies I used for this card.

Thank You - CTD438

Hello my friends and welcome back to a new week.  I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend, hopefully with friends and family.

Today I made a card that I think works perfectly for the current colour challenge at the Color Throwdown.

I finally used the Simon Says Stamp - Friendship Blooms stamp set and matching dies, which I have had since last year but had never used.   It is such a wonderful set, I'm annoyed with myself for not using it sooner.

Here is the card I came up with.  I think the flowers are so beautiful, it's quite easy to keep the card simple and striking.  I used Abandoned Coral Distress Ink and the Star Grid stencil from MFT Stamps to make the background behind the two daffodils.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Simon Says Stamp - Friendship Blooms
Dies: Simon Says Stamp - Friendship Blooms and Stitched Rectangles

Sweet Lemonade - MFTWSC328

Good morning and happy Friday!  I wanted to make a card using the new Fresh Squeezed stamp set from MFT Stamps.  Once I stamped coloured and paper pieced the cute little girl image, I decided to use the current sketch from MFT Card Challenges for the card layout.

For added dimension to my card I popped up the white panel on foam tape and then popped up the little girl with additional foam tape.

The finishing touch was to use the Pink Lemonade sequin mix from Neat and Tangled that went perfectly with the colours in her dress.

Below is a list of the supplies I used for my card.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Pure Innocence - Squeezed Lemonade
Dies: Simon Says Stamp - Stitched Rectangles

You're A Good Egg

Welcome back to another card using the Eggstra Special stamp set from Neat and Tangled.  This time I used a light inking of Spun Sugar Distress Ink through the Star Grid stencil from MFT Stamps and made a very subtle background.

Although the images are quite Eastery, with this particular sentiment I think this could make an anytime card.

Eggstra Special

Hello my friends and welcome to the Thursday before Easter.  As usual, time just seems to go faster then I can make my crafts and cards.  With just a few days left and no time to mail anything, I wanted to use the Eggstra Special stamp set from Neat and Tangled on at least one card.

I love the accessories that you can add to the chick to make it more gender specific.  I think the glasses are my favourite, they just make the chick that much more adorable.

I made a soft subtle background for the coloured images by blending some Shaded Lilac Distress Ink through the Cascading Scallop stencil from MFT Stamps.  I also popped up the two chicks to add some more dimension to the card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Neat and Tangled - Eggstra Special

Birthday Balloon Ride

Hello, hello, I'm back again with another card that I made using the Up In The Air stamp set from MFT Stamps.

This time I colour co-ordinated all of the balloons and the houses and made a girly birthday card.  I didn't put a sentiment on the front of the card but I did stamp the Happy Birthday from the stamp set inside the card.

For the largest balloon, I first stamped the heart banner, masked it off and then stamped the balloon so the banner and balloon are one image.  I cut all of the stamped images with my Brother - ScanNCut.

I used masks cut with the Stitched Hillside Borders dies from Lawn Fawn, in order to ink up the hillside and sky with Distress Inks.  I then sprayed the inked area with a bit of water and blotted it with paper towel to add a bit more texture to the card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown - Up In The Air
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13,  Lawn Fawn - Puffy Cloud Borders and Stitched Hillside Borders

In The Air

Hello my friends and welcome back.  It feels like it's been a while since I made a card, although I don't actually think it was that long.  When the man is home on the weekends, there seems to be too many things to do around the house.

Yesterday I received my latest order of MFT Stamp goodies.  I love so much of their products, I wish I could buy it all.

Here are a couple of cards I made using the new Birdie Brown - Up In The Air stamp set and some dies from MFT Stamps that I already had in my stash.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Happy Birthday Pirate Girl

Hello my friends and welcome back.  I was lucky enough to have some time to make another card using the Yo Ho Ho stamp set from Neat and Tangled.

This time I coloured the girl pirate and the cat and dog in pink to make a more "girly" card.

Again I used Distress Inks for my background but I did things a bit different this time.  I used the Cascading Scallop stencil from MFT Stamps to make the sea.  For the land I cut a piece of white card stock using the A2 Card Curved Edge die from Simon Says Stamp and coloured it using Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.  The cloudy sky was created with some cloud masks and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.

I popped all of the coloured images with foam tape to add some dimension to the card.  As the final touch, I cut a piece of card stock using a "washi tape" die from the MFT Stamps' Blueprints 13 die-namics. I thought the edge of the die went perfectly with the slightly jaggy edge of the map.  I stamped the sentiment onto the strip and coloured the edges with a couple of Copic markers to give it the same feel as the map.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Neat and Tangled - Yo Ho Ho

My Greatest Treasure

Hello my friends and Happy Friday!  I sure hope you are having a good day.

I received an order earlier this week from Butterfly Reflections, Ink.  Vanessa, the owner has a great one day sale so I took the opportunity to pick up some new goodies.

I bought my first Distress Oxide ink pads, my first Concord & 9th stamp set and the absolutely adorable Yo Ho Ho stamp set from Neat and Tangled.

Last night I stamped, Copic coloured and cut out (with my ScanNCut), a bunch of images from the Yo Ho Ho set.

I am absolutely in love with this stamp set.

Today I went ahead and made a background scene using Distress Inks and some dies. I used the Stitched Hillside Borders dies from Lawn Fawn for the ground, a Small Scallop die from MFT Stamps for the waves and masks made with the Puffy Cloud Borders dies from Lawn Fawn.

I'm so happy with how my finished card turned out and I hope you like it too.

Spring Greetings

Hello again my friends and welcome back.  I had a chance to make another card today.  I actually coloured up the cute girl during the March 2017 Daily Marker 30 Day challenge.

Today I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the basket and bunny from the same Melody's Easter stamp set.

I then used a blending tool and Tumbled Glass distress ink to ink up the cloudy sky.  The grass was made by cutting a piece of white card stock with a Stitched Hillside Borders die and inked it up with Mowed Lawn distress ink.

I'm really happy with how the card turned out.

I stamped a couple of the images onto a panel and coloured them with Copic markers.  I then made my own design paper using the Plaid Background Builder stamp set from MFT Stamps and several inks from Hero Arts.  I think next time I would leave a bit more white space next time.
