Hello my friends, I hope you are having a great day!

I pulled out the Lumberjack Love stamp set from Neat and Tangled to make this cute scene card.  The images in this stamp set is just so adorable.  I used a couple of stamps in the set to make the grass and drew my own bushes with a Copic multiliner.  I made my own black and red checked background to match the boy's shirt, using the Gingham Background stamp from MFT Stamps, with black ink on red card stock.

Always An Adventure

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a good day.  I am so ready for Spring to come.  We had about an inch of snow last night, which is totally crazy for this time of year around here.  Fortunately it has warmed up and most of it has melted.  I feel bad for the poor flowers that are starting to come up.

Today I actually did some colouring using my Prismascolor Premier colored pencils.  I am very much a newly but I'm giving it a try.  I was inspired to break them out after watching this video from Debbie Hughes of Lime Doodle Design.

I decided to use the Warm & Fuzzy Friends stamp set from MFT Stamps that I have had for awhile but have never used.  I used a piece of Strathmore 400 Series Toned Tan paper to stamp and colour my little scene.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Warm & Fuzzy Friends

Brighten My Day

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a good day so far.

I had so much fun painting with distress inks that I thought I would make another card.  Again I used the Fun in the Rain stamp set from Hero Arts, this time using the cute pig wearing boots.

I'm really happy with the lower half of my card but the sky didn't turn out quite like I pictured it in my mind.  Still, I'm having lots of fun using Distress Inks for colouring rather then my go to Copic markers.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Hero Arts - Fun in the Rain
Inks: Ranger - Archival Ink in Jet Black,  Distress Inks - Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Gathered Twigs, Spun Sugar,  Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade and Mowed Lawn

We'll Weather This Together

Hello again my friends.  I made another card today, this time using the brand new Fun In The Rain stamp set from Hero Arts, which has just come back in stock on their website.

This time I was planning on doing a one layer card but kind of wrecked the sentiment so I stamped, painted and cut out a couple of clouds to cover up the boo, boo and then stamped the sentiment again.

I did some watercolouring using distress inks and I used the watercolor palette from Art Impressions to hold the ink.  It worked so well, I think I'm really going to love it.

I thought this card with the sentiment was a good card to send someone if they are felling down, to let them know they're not alone.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Hero Arts - Fun In The Rain
Inks: Ranger - Archival Ink in Jet Black,  Distress Inks - Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Broken China, Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Fired Brick
Other: Recollections - 110lb White card stock for the card base,  Strathmore - 140lb Watercolor Cold Press Paper

Thank you for taking the time to drop by and I hope you have a wonderful day! Kathy

Hello my friends and welcome to another week.  Slowly but surely it's getting lighter in the evening and I'm hoping that Spring is coming soon.

On Saturday I received the February 2017 My Monthly Hero kit that I ordered from Hero Arts.  Their  monthly kits are such a good deal, you should check it out.  Here is a picture of February's 2017 kit. (There are actually more dies then you can see in this picture).

Here is the first card I made using this set.  The window die in this kit would be perfect to make shaker cards.

Happy Birthday Pandas

Hello my friends,  on Friday I received a couple of Happy Mail packages and in one of them was the older MFT Stamps - Happy Pandas stamp set and matching dies.  I bought them from someone on Instagram that was destashing and when I got them, I not sure they were ever used.

I made a couple of cards with this new set.  For the first card I inked up the background with some distress inks and them stamped some Bamboo on the "ground".  The pandas and banner were stamped, cut out with the dies and coloured with Copic markers.  The great thing about the pandas is you don't even have to colour them at all.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Let's Paw-ty!

Hello again my friends, I am back with another card using the super cute More Furry Friends stamp set from Avery Elle.

For this card I coloured all three of the dogs in the set.  I think my favorite dog is the one on the right, which I believe is a Shar Pei.  His face, with the tongue hanging out, is just so adorable!

I cut out the white frame using the Blueprints 27 from MFT Stamps and tucked a dog into each little square and then mounted the whole thing on the bottom blue layer with foam tape.  Simple but very cute!

Below is a list of the supplies I used for this card.

Stamps: Avery Elle - More Furry Friends

London Mice - MFTWSC320

Hello my friends and Happy Friday!  Woot, woot!

Today I have a card for this week's sketch challenge at MFT Card Challenges.

For the card I made, I turned the sketch on it's side and used the mice and buildings as the shapes going across the card. This was the first time I used the London Mouse stamp set from MFT Stamps and I'm really happy with how the card turned out.

The card is not complicated but it was time consuming with all the masking and then Copic colouring.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - London Mouse

Hello again my friends, I made another card using the Carousel stamp set from Avery Elle.  This time I used the bunny image as well as the banner to make an Easter card.  The stamp set does not have an Easter sentiment so I found one from MFT Stamps that fit.

Make A Wish

Hello my friends, it's nice to see that we are already half way through the week.  Yesterday I received my small order from ScrapbookPal.com, which included two of the brand new stamp sets from Avery Elle.  It was such a cute release but I contained myself to the Carousel and More Furry Friends stamp sets.

For my first card I used the carousel horse and the banner that came in the set.  I absolutely love the font of the enticements that came in the set and fit perfectly in the banner.  The card is quite simple and the real fun was colouring the horse, which since it's a carousel horse you can really colour any way you wish. I coloured the horse and banner with Copic markers and then added some clear sparkle pen to the mane and tail.

Here is a couple of pictures of my finished card.  I think any little girl (or grown woman) would love this as a birthday card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Girls In The Tub

Good morning and Happy Valentine's Day!  I hope today and everyday you feel the love of someone in your life.

Today I am posting a card celebrating friends of all colours.  I coloured all four ladies with different skin tones and different hair colours, to help show a little diversity that is in this world.

Here is a picture of the main image that I coloured with Copic markers. This is the Girlfriends - In The Tub sling stamp from Art Impressions.  I just love their Girlfriends line of stamps.

I added some colour to the ground and sky and cut it out using the Stitched Rectangles from Simon Says Stamp.  I then matted the panel with some aqua paper added it to a A2 card base and added some Glossy Accents to the wineglasses and tone bottle to make them look more like glass.

Dress Up Marci

Good morning my friends and happy Sunday!  Finally the weather has warmed up and a lot of the snow has melted. Yeah!

Today I made a lovely Springy feeling card using the adorable Dress Up Marci cling stamp from La-La Land Crafts.  This is an older stamp up it is the first time I have coloured her.

Again I wanted to colour up a image to not be my normal pale skin girl and to show some more diversity in the images people colour for cards.  I am so happy with how this cutie turned out.  I think she looks ready to go out with girls or maybe to go to church.

I started by just colouring her skin and hair and then tired to figure out what colours to use for her outfit.  I'm really happy with the Purple and yellow combination. that I ended up choosing.

After the girl was coloured, then came the hard part, figuring out how I wanted to put the card together and whether to add a sentiment.  I finally settled on leaving the card without a sentiment, I figure on can be added inside when the time comes to give it away.

Here are a couple of pictures of the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: La-la Land Crafts - Dress Up Marci

You Are My Idol

Hello my friends and Happy Friday!

Today I made a card inspired by Sandy Allnock, who is encouraging people to colour people with some diversity,  #dailydiversity  and Black History month.  I thought I would try my hand at altering the little girl's hair to make it curly as well as colour a darker skin tone for a change and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Below is a list of the supplies I used for this card.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Pure Innocence-Perfect Harmony,  Modern Mosaic background

In My Life

Hello my friends, hopefully, welcome back.

I promise I will change the supplies I have been using but before that, I have one more card to share using the January 2017 My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts.  I combined a couple of their older stamps to make this friendship card.

This time I stamped the wrap, that the flowers go into, with black ink of white card stock and then coloured the image with Copic markers.  I then stamped the flowers and leaves with several different Hero Arts inks to make the bouquet.

I used the Soft Pool ink with the Vertical Arrows background stamp, both also from Hero Arts, to make a subtle background for the main image.

This is the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stop & Smell The Roses

Hello my friends, I am hoping you are having a good day.

Since I still has the January 2017 My Monthly Hero kit out on my desk, I made one more card.  This time using the mason jar image and some long stem roses.  Once I added the roses to the jar I covered the whole jar and stems with Glossy Accents.

I like that this kit is so versatile.  Just by changing the sentiment, you could make some lovely Mother's Day cards.  Here are a couple of pictures of my finished card.

Happy Valentine's Day

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a good day.  Today was the first time in four days that it didn't snow but there is plenty of snow outside for my labrador Bailey to enjoy.

Today I made another Valentine's Day card using the January 2017 My Monthly Hero kit.

The flower heart image has two dies, so I stamped the images two times and then used both dies.  Once to cut out the main image and one to cut an inner heart shape, which I popped up with foam tape.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.
