A Latte Birthday Wishes - C4C313

Hello again, just one day before American Thanksgiving, and even more important to me, two days until Black Friday sales. I don't do any in person shopping but I look for online sales on craft supplies. I think I'm addicted.

Today is my daughter's birthday and I made her a card with a Starbucks gift card inside. I used the perfect Coffee Cup die-namic as well as the sentiment from the Stay Cool stamp set both of which are from MFT Stamps.

I used the sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges as the layout for my card and inside of an oval I used the coffee cup.

I stuck with the same fall theme as my card from yesterday. I like the unusual addition of the blue to the more rational fall colours. Below are a couple of pictures of my card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Stay Cool
Dies: MFT Stamps - Coffee Cup & Homespun Stitched Lines
Ink: MFT Stamps - Kraft Dye Ink,  Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
Design Paper: American Crafts - Night Fall 12 x 12 paper pad
Other: Recollections - Card Stock,  Foam Tape

Thanks so much for dropping by, Kathy

Hug in a Mug - The Challenge #51

Today was a nice crisp and dry day, which makes a lovely change from the rain and wind of the past two days.

The inspiration photo from The Challenge is perfect on a cold day and reminds me of snuggling up with a good book and a cup of cocoa. It was also the perfect excuse to use the MFT Staps - Hot Cocoa Cups die-namics and Hug in a Mug stamp set again.

Here is the inspiration photo.

And here are a couple of pictures of my card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Hig in a Mug

Mugs and Kisses - MFTWSC254

The other day I was excited to receive some happy mail with some goodies I ordered from MFT Stamps. They seem to come out with some awesome products each week.

When I first saw the Hot Cocoa Cups Die-namics and the co-ordinating Hug in a Mug stamp set , I knew I wanted to get them.

I have made a card using those two products along with the current sketch from MFT Card Challenges. I also used the straw from MFT Stamps' Cool Cup Die-namic and the postage stripe from Lawn Fawn's You've Got Mail to make the candy stick coming out of the whipped cream.

Here are a couple of pictures of my card.

Altered Wooden Coffin

It's been almost a week since I made anything crafty and although I thought I was done with Halloween, I bought a couple of small wooden coffins on clearance at Michaels.

The coffin measures almost 5 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide and I just felt like altering at least one before I go onto Christmas crafts.

The first picture shows the plain wooden coffin. The first thing I did is paint it inside and out with black paint, even though most of it got covered with paper after.

I then covered the insides and outsides with paper from My Mind's Eye - Happy Haunting 6x6 paper pad. I edged all of the papers with Black Soot Distress Ink.

I then decided to edge around the bottom of the coffin with a black fence that I cut out of card stock with Martha Stewart's - Scary Fence punch. After that I coloured a few white flowers with Lindys Stamp Gang's Mango Mania - Flat Fabio Spray and made a stick pin using items from my stash. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Here are a few pictures of the final coffin.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Wooden Coffin and Black Acrylic  Paint from Michaels
My Mind's Eye - Happy Haunting 6x6 paper pad
Distress Ink - Black Soot
I Am Roses - R21-273 (Black Rose),  S10-15 (Small Flowers),  ZQLO-2 (Tiny Green Leaves)
Small Roses from my stash
Lindys Stamp Gang - Mango Mania Flat Fabio spray to colour white flowers
Stick Pin was made from items in my stash. I coloured the skeleton's eyes with Paprika - Stickles

Thanks for dropping by and have a great day! Kathy
