Happy Birthday, Cupcake

Good morning, I hope you are having a good day so far.  It's gorgeous and sunny here and I'm so grateful for air conditioning.

After making my card yesterday I decided to pair the same Pure Innocence girl with an image from another stamp set, this time the Hog Heaven set from MFT Stamps.

Since both images are holding cupcakes I thought they would be cute together and it's why I used a cupcake sentiment as well.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

I Love You Because...

Hello friends, we are half way through the week and half way through The Dailey Marker 30 Challenge. I have done pretty well and only missed one day of colouring.

Today I did something different and watercolored with distress inks without embossing the image. I got the leaves the little too wet before I added colour so they bled a little but I'm still pretty happy with the final results.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Wplus9 - Beautiful Bouquets Dahlia,  MFT Stamps - Because You
Dies: MFT Stamps - Because You
Ink: Versafine - Onyx Black,  Distress Ink - Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Shaded Lilac, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, Tumbled Glass

Who's Got My Ball?

Hello friends, I hope your having a good day. Today I made a card using the Lucky Dogs stamp set that was inspired by a card made by Nichol Magourik a few days ago.

I do not have a small polaroid die so I made my own.  I cut three pieces of card stock into 2' x 2 1/2" Then I used a small square die from the Sizzix/Stephanie Bernard Square Flip-its #2 Framelits to cut out an opening in each piece of card stock and viola the polaroids were made.

I stamped out three of the dogs onto pieces of card stock that fit into the polaroids and coloured them with Copic markers.

I also used the largest die in the Mama Elephant's Peek A Frame die set to cut out another piece of white card stock.  I added a sentiment at the bottom of the panel with versa mark ink and heat embossed it with some Snow Detail embossing powder.  I then sponged on some Fossilized Amber distress ink onto the panel. Then I took a bit of white acrylic paint, added a few drops of water and then took a small paint brush and flicked some drops of paint onto the background.  Once the paint was dry I added the three completed polaroid pictures to the panel then attached the panel to an A2 size card base.

I really like how it turned out. Although I originally planned to add a totally different sentiment but for some reason did not notice until everything was attached together. Maybe I'll try and make another similar card.

Here is a picture of the completed card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Lucky Dogs
Dies: Mama Elephant - Peek A Frames,  Sizzix - Square Flip-its #2 Framelits
Inks: MFT Stamps - Black Licorice Hybrid Ink,  Versamark,  Distress Ink - Fossilized Amber
Copic Markers: Corgi & Chihuahua - E13, E15, E19, E40, E41, R000, R00, R02  Bulldog - E31, E35, E37, E40, E41, C7, C9, R24, R29  Ball - YG000, Y13  Grass - G12, G24  Sky - BG11
Other: Recollections - Card Stock,  Acrylic White Paint

Birthday Bear

Hello friends I hope you're having a good start to your week.  I had some fun colouring some bears from the Beary Special Birthday stamp set from MFT Stamps.

I wanted to make a card with little frames/windows but don't really have die large enough so I made my own.  The first thing I did was use the largest die from the MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13 and cut a white panel that measures 4" x 5 1/4".  I found the centre of the panel and placed the second smallest die from the Simon Says Stamp - Stitched Rectangles in the centre of the panel and cut it out. I then cut out two more rectangles, one on either side of the centre one.

I stamped three of the different bears onto the centres of the small rectangles and coloured then with Copic markers. I used pretty much the same colours on all the images in order to unify the card.

I think these bears are so cute and the card turned out so well.

below is a list of the supplies I used for this card.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Beary Special Birthday
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13,  Simon Says Stamp - Stitched Rectangles
Ink: MFT Stamps - Black Licorice Hybrid Ink,  Versafine - Onyx Black
Copic Markers: Bears - E51, E53, E55, E41, E44  Cake - E25, E47, E49  Icing & Bow - R00, R02, R05  Present - B00, B02, B05  Background - BG11
Other: Recollections - Card Stock

Dog-Gone

Hello friends, it's Friday again, yeah!  I had fun today and made what I think is a super cute three sided card.

I took an A2 size card base and cut off 2 3/4" of the top of the front of the card. I then covered the remaining front of the card and the backside of the front with "wooden" design paper to make it look like a fence.

I then sponged the right inside of the card with distress ink to look like clouds.  I used the Grassy Fields die-namic to add grass to all three decorated sides of the card.

I Copic coloured two dogs and a ball from the Lucky Dogs stamp set and the dog house from the You Make My Tail Wag stamp set both from MFT Stamps. After colouring the images I fussy cut them out.  I then glued all of the coloured images onto the card and added a sentiment to finish off the card.

Here are a couple of pictures of the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Lucky Dog and You Make My Tail Wag
Dies: MFT Stamps - Grassy Fields,  Lawn Fawn - Puffy Cloud Borders (For Cloud Template)
Ink: MFT Stamps - Black Licorice Hybrid Ink,  Versafine - Onyx Black,  Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass

With Thanks

Hello friends, I hope you are having a good week so far.

I watched a YouTube Video from Dawn Woleslagle of Wplus9 using distress inks to colour the Beautiful Bouquet Ranunculus stamp. I loved it so much I thought I would give it a try.

I stamped the Ranunculus Bouquet on the rough side of a distress watercolor cardstock  panel with Versafine ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I used my new Silver Black Velvet watercolor paint brushes in sizes 2, 4 and 8. (Love them by the way)

Here is the finished panel.

I then decided to cut the panel down with the largest die in the Blueprints 13 die-namics from MFT Stamps, added a thin card stock border and a sentiment and mounted on an A2 size card base with foam tape. I finished off the card with a sprinkling of Clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Wplus9 - Beautiful Bouquet Ranunculus
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13

I made card using another stamp from Art Impressions, this time from a stamp set that I bought at Michaels.

Comfy Couch

Hello, I hope you had a good day today. For Day 2 of #thedailymarker30day challenge, I did lots of Copic colouring using an Art Impressions stamp that I had never used.

The image is a large one which I stamped onto a piece of card stock I had cut out using the largest die in the Blueprints 13 die-namics from MFT Stamps.

I tired to colour different skin tones, so no two ladies have the same colour skin. The colouring of this image and background, took we me quite awhile so I took pictures along the way.

Here is the finished card.

Stamps: Art Impressions - Comfy On The Couch
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13
Ink: MFT Stamps - Black Licorice Hybrid Ink

Chill Out

Hello friends, today is the first day of the newest 30 Day Coloring Challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin of The Daily Marker.  This 30 day challenge is running from July 5 to August 5, 2016 and encourages everyone to try to colour something every day, even if it's only for 10 minutes a day.  I hope that you can join along.

Here is a picture of the colouring I did for the first day.

I ended up finishing the image on the right by paper piecing the rest of the picture and then I made it into a card. The paper piecing on this was quite challenging because I had to cut around the body of the girl.

O Canada

Good morning friends, if your in Canada, Happy Canada Day!

Canada Day celebrates the anniversary of Canada's confederation.

I did not have any stamps to make a a card for Canada Day but when I thought about it, I decided I could use some of the super cute mice from the MFT Stamps' - Strike Up The Band stamp set to make a little band.

I thought if I coloured them in red and white and added our national anthem as the title/sentiment for the card it would work perfectly. I used the Lawn Fawn - Sally's ABC's stamp set to write out O Canada.

I very happy with how it turned out.

below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown - Strike Up The Band,  Lawn Fawn - Sally's ABC's
