Sending A Birthday Song

Hello my friends, I can't believe it's been almost a month since I have posted anything.  I have been trying to participate in The Daily Marker 30 Day challenge on Instagram.  Today I created a card using the three girls from the Friendship Rocks stamp set from MFT Stamps, which I coloured with Comic markers over the last few days.

I created the background today using distress inks with spotlights created using the In The Spotlight stencil from MFT Stamps and Unicorn pigment ink from Hero Arts.

Jolly and Happy Christmas - 6x6 Mini Album

Hello my friends, I hope you had a great week.

Today I am sharing a  6" x 6" Christmas mini album that I created using the Say Freeze 12" x 12" paper pad from Craft Smith.  I had already created a 9" x 7 1/2" album using the same paper pad and since I had quite a bit of design paper left I wanted to create another album.

For this new album, I used the tutorial from Laura's Craft Zone YouTube channel.  Her instructions are very clear and easy to follow.  I only made very small modifications to the her instructions to create an album that worked with the design paper I used.

My Heart - CIC470 (Color Challenge)

Hello - TYIC #87 (Spring Colours)

I am back again with another tag I created for the Spring Colours challenge at Tag You're It.

This time I created a bigger tag that I could decorate with a bunch of flowers.  The colours of the flowers and leaves were inspired by the above inspiration photo.  I did some ink blending and spraying starburst sprays onto some 110lb white card stock, to create the four colours.  The hello die was cut fours times out of some 110lb black card stock , which I glued on top of each other to create a bolder sentiment.  I'm not totally sure I'm happy with the plain white background for the flowers but I do like the overall colours.

So Lucky - TYIC #87 (Spring Colours)

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a good day so far.  I am back today to share a tag I created for the challenge at Tag You're It!

The tag I created is quite small compared to what I normally make for this challenge, but I think it tuned out simple and sweet.

Tah tag elements come from the Tag Builder Blueprints 5 from MFT Stamps and the cute fairy and flowers come from the Fairy Friends stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  It was a bit of a challenge to find a sentiment that would fit on the banner but I did find one in the From The Heart stamp set from MFT Stamps.

Have A Blast - MFTWSC436

Hello my friends, I am back to share a card I created for the current sketch challenge at MFT Stamps.

I used the Birdie Brown - Space Explorer stamp set along with a "galaxy" background that I created quite awhile ago but had never used.  I created the galaxy panels by cutting them with the largest die in the Fishtail Flag Stax from MFT Stamps and matting them with some black card stock.  The sentiment fit perfectly in between the fishtail panels.  I added the astronaut with some foam tape and as the finishing touch I glued on some tiny star confetti from my stash.

Brimming With Happiness - Caffeinated Inspiration-Spring Tea

Hello my friends and Happy Saturday!  Today I am back to share a card I created for the inspiration challenge at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers.

I was inspired by the colours in the above picture and the layout was inspired by the inspiration card by Laurel Seabrook.  (Love her card).

I decided to dry emboss my background panel using the Script embossing folder from Cuttlebug.  I think it gives some nice texture and looks romantic.  I also used some delicate floral design paper for the tea bag as well as the sentiment strip.

A+ Kind Of Teacher - CIC469 (Shaped Card)

hello my friends and welcome back, today I am sharing a card I created for the "Shaped Card" challenge at Cupcake Inspirations.

When I saw the above photo, it made me want to create an apple shaped card.  This is the first time I actually used my Scan N Cut to create the card shape.  I modified a simple apple shape to create a card base which I cut out of white card stock and folded it in half to create the card base.  I then cut another apple shape in red card stock and a stem and leaf in green card stock and glued them onto the card base.  I inked around the edge of the card with some Distress Inks to add some depth to the apple.

The bear and lunchbox are from the Neat and Tangled, Schoolhouse stamp set, which I coloured with Copic markers and popped up onto the card front with foam tape.  I added a ribbon bow, a tag with the sentiment and a ruler charm to finish the card.

Hello my friends and Happy Saturday!  I am back today to share a colourful card that I created for the challenge at The Card Concept.

Although there is not a lot of white space, I still consider my card Clean and Simple.  I was inspired by the inspiration picture to break out the boot stamp and dies from the July 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit, and colour up the boots in the same colours.  (I did actually create a pink boot with polka dots but I didn't like how it turned out.)

Friends Forever - Tag You're It #86

Hello my friends and welcome back.  Today I am sharing another tag, this one is for the Selective Colouring challenge at Tag You're It! Challenge.

I stamped several different butterflies from an older stamp set called Antique Engravings which is from Hero Arts.  I coloured the centre and largest butterfly with Copic markers, added some Crystal  Clear Sparkling Brush Pen from Spectrum Noir and then finished it off with some Glossy Accents.  I added a small sentiment from the MFT Stamps' From The Heart stamp set and some thin black ribbon and the tag was finished.
