New Beginning

I can't believe that tomorrow will be January 1, 2016.  Every year seems to go so fast.

I am still on a roll of colouring with Distress Markers and this card is no exception. I used another Art Impressions "Girlfriends" stamp called Weigh In for my card today.

I thought it would be perfect for someone that wants to lose weight as their New Year's Resolution. This is one of my goals for the upcoming year, to eat healthier, exercise and hopefully in turn lose some weight. Wish me luck!

Here is the card I made.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Art Impressions - Weigh In,  Simon Says Stamp - Work Out
Ink: Ranger - Archival Ink-Jet Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black,  Distress Ink - Scattered Straw
Dies: Simon Says Stamp - Stitched Rectangles,  MFT Stamps - Fishtail Flag Stax
Distress Markers: Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo, Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint, Broken China, Stormy Sky, Rusty Hinge, Walnut Stain, Wild Honey, Pumice Stone & Spun Sugar
Design Paper: Echo Park - For The Record 6x6 paper pad

Thanks so much for dropping by. I wish you a Happy New Year and hope you have a wonderful and healthy year ahead.

Mugs and Kisses

Hello again, I hope your having a good day.

I wanted to continue with colouring with Distress Markers so I found another stamp that I wanted to use to make a card. I ended up using the House Mouse - Lip Smackin' Relaxin' stamp by Stampabilities. The colours I ended up using were inspired by the colours on the front of the wooden stamp.

I also ended up making my own patterned paper by using the Argyle Backdrops stamp set by Lawn Fawn.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Stampabilities - House Mouse-Lip Smackin' Relaxin',  Lawn Fawn - Argyle Backdrops,  MFT Stamps - Hug In A Mug
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13, Stitched Circle Stax and Mix & Match Banner,  Spellbinders - Picot Edge Circles,  Lifestyle Crafts - Nesting Circles
Ink: Ranger - Archival-Jet Black,  Hero Arts - Dusty Blue & Grape Juice Shadow Inks,  Memento Ink - Grape Jelly
Distress Markers: Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Vintage Photo, Antique Linen, Broken China, Dusty Concord, Pumice Stone and Tumbled Glass

I'll Be Your Umbrella

I can't believe that Christmas is over so quickly and in a fews days we will be in 2016.

I haven't been doing too much crafting in the last couple of days but I have been watching some YouTube videos showing Copic colouring and card making. It's inspiring me to do some more colouring, so I looked through my stamps and ended up using a stamp I hadn't used before. I used the Under My Umbrella cling stamp by Art Impressions and ironically did not colour it with Copics but instead used Distress Markers and water on watercolour paper.

Because the image is quite large and I die cut it into a circle, my card ended up being 5 1/2 inches square. I actually coloured/drew my own background with the distress markers. I coloured one rain drop on a rain drop stamp with tumbled glass distress marker and stamped in on the umbrella. I then covered the rain drops with glossy accents to make them look wet.

Here is a couple of pictures of my card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Art Impressions - Under My Umbrella, Simon Says Stamp - Abby's Spring Showers (Raindrop)
Dies: Lifestyle Crafts - Nesting Circles
Ink: Ranger - Archival Ink - Jet Black,  Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
Distress Markers: Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Pumice Stone, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Broken China, Stormy Sky, Rusty Hinge, Walnut Stain, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn, Fired Brick and Picked Raspberry
Design Paper: American Crafts - Best of Dear Lizzy 8.5 x 11,  Dear Lizzy-Neapolitan 6x6 paper pad
Other: Recollections - Card Stock,  Ranger - Glossy Accents

Nuts About You

Happy Christmas Eve! I hope your almost ready for Christmas tomorrow and don't have too much running around to do. I have done the last of my grocery shopping this morning already so I'm hoping to have a quiet day today.

The card I made today was totally inspired by Kristina Werner and the card she showed yesterday with a couple of robots from Paper Smooches. Although I used Bionic Bots from MFT Stamps and I used Copics instead of Tombow markers for watercoloring, the basic idea was the same.

I discovered while making this card that I really need the refills for my Cool Gray Copics.

Here is the card I came up with.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Miss Tina-Bionic Bots
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13 & Tag Builder Blueprints 3 (Heart)
Ink: MFT Stamps - Black Licorice Hybrid Ink,  Versafine - Onyx Black
Copic Markers: C00, C1, C3, W00, W1, W3, R20, R29, B000
Other: Recollections - Card Stock,  Clear Wink of Stella Brush Pen

Toasty Greetings

I can't believe it's only two days until Christmas.  I'm going to bake some shortbread cookies this afternoon but this morning, I took some time and made a card.

I think this card could be for Christmas or just a winter hello card.  I coloured the sky with Copics and wish I had a big bottle of colourless blender so I could smooth out the sky, but I still think it's okay.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Birdie Brown-Toasty Greetings
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13
Ink: MFT Stamps - Black Licorice Hybrid Ink,  Versafine - Onyx Black

I wanted to use the new Toboggan Together stamp set from Lawn Fawn on a card. There are such cute images and I hope I get a chance to make a few more cards with this set.

It was a perfect morning to stay in the house and make a card.  I used the current sketch from The Challenge for the layout for my card.

I can't believe in 9 days it will be Christmas. I did manage to mail out some Christmas cards yesterday but I still want to make a few more cards to hand out to friends in the neighbourhood.

I saw this photo from the Curtain Call Challenge and remembered that I had an older wooden gingerbread man stamp that would be perfect.

Here is the card I came up with.

Ewe For Christmas

Hello and hope your having a good day. I did a bit of baking getting ready to have some people over tomorrow night but I still managed to make a card using Lawn Fawn's - Baaah Humbug stamp set.

My card was very much inspired by a card made by Tanya Adams of Studio 5380.

For the snow in the sky of my card I used the Stars & Dots stencil by Simon Says Stamp and pounced Hero Arts' - Unicorn pigment ink through the dots only with a Q-tip. I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

Joyful Christmas - FMS215

It's a miracle and actually made a third card today. When I saw this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches I just knew I wanted to have a flower as my focal point. I first found the design paper with poinsettias on it and then remembered that I had the Sizzix/Tim Holtz - Tattered Poinsettia die, so I could make a flower to match.

This is the sketch.

And here are a few pictures on my card, showing the dimension of the flower.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Clearly Sentimental-About Christmas
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13, Blueprints 3 and Fishtail Flag Stax,  Sizzix/Tim Holtz - Tattered Poinsettia
