Good Fortune - CIC468

I am back again today to share another card I have created using some products from Lawn Fawn.   I have very recently discovered a new card challenge and thought I would join in this time.  The challenge is from Cupcake Inspirations and the current challenge is to add an "inspirational quote" to the card.  I went a step further and actually used the picture they provided as a visual inspiration as well.

For my card I combined the Let's Roll and the Good Fortune stamp sets from Lawn Fawn, with the inspirational words coming from the fortune cookie.

I did some ink smooshing directly onto the card base with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink and then glued most of the stamped, cut and coloured images flat on top.  The only thing popped up was the front sushi roll and the fortune which I curled with my fingers to add some extra dimension.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn - Let's Roll and Good Fortune
Dies: Lawn Fawn - Let's Roll and Good Fortune
Inks: MFT Stamps - Extreme Black Hybrid Ink,  Distress Oxide - Fossilized Amber
Copic Markers: Soy Sauce - E25, E27, E29, E29, E39  Chopsticks, Fortune Cookie and Plate - E31, E34, E35, E37  Wasabi - G20, G21, G24  Sushi - R20, R22, R24, C00, C1, C3, G94, G99
Other: Recollections - 110lb White card stock,  Foam Tape

I hope you like what I came up with.  Thank you for dropping by and have a wonderful day!  Kathy

Rub A Dub Dub - Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #51

Hello my friends and welcome back.  Today I am sharing a card I created for the sketch challenge at Lawn Fawnatics.

I used the Rub-A-Dub-Dub stamp set and the Pint-sized Patterns Beachside 6x6 paper pad from Lawn Fawn to create my card.

I cut 1/4" strips of three different pattern papers from the pack and glued them onto a patterned paper rectangle, which I then cut out using a stitched rectangle die, so that all the paper had the stitched lines.

The circle, bubbles and the baby ducks have all been popped up with some foam tape to and some dimension to the finished card.

Below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn - Rub-A-Dub-Dub
Dies: MFT Stamps - Blueprints 13 & Stitched Circle Stax
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black  Hero Arts - Dusty Blue

Tag You're It Challenge #85 - Reminder

Hello friends, I am just dropping by to let you know that there is still time to join in on the current challenge at Tag You're it!.

I'm just loving the challenge this time, the inspiration tag is adorable and inspired me to break out some more of my Easter stamps.

I again traced a tag that I had in my stash onto some 110lb white card stock and cut it out.  I inked up the background with a couple of Distress Oxide inks and coloured up these cute images, from the Cottontail Cuties stamp set from Neat and Tangled, with Copic markers.  It's a bit of challenge for me but I wanted to keep the colours kind of pastel, which I thought would work well for Easter.

Get Well Soon - Caffeinated Inspiration - Stack 'Em Up

Welcome my friends, I hope you are having a good day.  Today I am sharing a card I created for the current inspiration challenge at the  Coffee Loving Cardmakers.  I hope you will try and join in on the challenge.

I was inspired by the stacked cups, florals and colours in the inspiration photo to create my card.  I paper pieced the cups, which I cut using the Tea Party die from MFT Stamps, using three different patterned papers from The Sweetest Thing - Bluebell 6x6 paper pad from My Mind's Eye.

I originally wanted to you a different sentiment on my card but I didn't realize I used the wrong one until it was already attached to the card base.  Here is the finished card, mistake and all.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Cup of Tea

Tag You're It Challenge #85

Hello my friends and welcome.  I am excited this week to be the great designer at Tag You're It!  The theme this week is Happy Easter, which is a real fun one and I just love the inspiration graphic for the challenge.

For my tag I took inspiration from the bunnies and the carrots as well as the orange and green.  I decided I wanted to create a tag with a little garden scene showing some bunnies picking carrots in the garden.

I created the tag base by tracing a blank tag I had in my stash onto some 110lb white card stock and then cutting it out.  The sky was created using some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and the Mini Cloud Edges stencil from MFT Stamps. The grass and dirt was created by using card stock and dies from MFT Stamps and Hero Arts.  The bunnies, carrots and butterflies are from Lawn Fawn that I coloured with Copic markers.

Below is a list of all the supplies I used.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn - Some Bunny and Chirpy Chirp Chirp
Dies: MFT Stamps - Grassy Fields,  Hero Arts - March 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit (Wavy Dirt Die)
Inks: Simon Says Stamp - Intense Black,  Versafine - Onyx Black,  Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass

Espresso - Tag You're It! #84

Hello my friends, I'm back with another tag that I created for the current challenge at Tag You're It!  This week's challenge is to create a coffee themed tag.

For my tag, I tried to give the illusion that my coffee mugs were glass, like the ones in the inspiration picture.  I first die cut the mugs out of white card stock which I inked up with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink.  I also die cut the mugs out of some vellum and some silver card stock.  I glued the velum on top of the inked mugs and then added silver bottoms and handles to the mugs.  The brown colour wasn't showing through the vellum very well so I inked up the vellum a bit with the same Distress Oxide ink.

The actual tag was die cut from some kraft medium weight chipboard.  I heat embossed the sentiment and added the coffee bean stamps all around using some Cup O'Joe ink from Hero Arts.

below is a list of the supplies I used.

Stamps: MFT Stamps - Perk Up,  TPC Studio - Coffee Cafe
Dies: Sizzix/Tim Holtz - Tag & Bookplates,  MFT Stamps - Tea Party and Cool Cup (whip cream)
Inks: Versamark,  Hero Arts - Cup O'Joe,  Distress Oxide - Vintage Photo
Other: Gaffix - Medium Weight Chipboard,  Recollections - 110lb White card stock and 29lb Vellum paper,  Lindy's Stamp Gang - Midnight Bronze Obsidian embossing powder, Silver card stock, Foam Tape, Celebrate It - 5/8" Brown Ribbon

Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by and I hope you have a wonderful day! Kathy
